Our Mission

Set up to encourage the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs/ NGOs) and their well wishers to reach out and communicate better about their work/ cause.

Work and Achievements

Most Civil Society Organisations (CSOs/ NGOs - we are using this very positve term instead of non governmental organisation) in the country hardly have the capacity and/ or the bandwidth to have specialized fundraisers or communications personnel. Usually they depend on volunteers or board members & well-wishers to spread the word about the work and the cause they are impacting.

In this 2016 edition of Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, the geral run registrations for half marathon race category in the  is open only for the timed runners, non timed runners have to register through the 'Charity Bib' section. This means every non timed half marathoner is going to be bringing about change in some less fortunate life through their participation in this Half Marathon for a cause of choice!

Do remember, dear runner, that you are special! you are running for yourself, your health, your timing, and that is bringing change in our society. Thank you.

In the last two years that this 'encouragement' fund has been started, India Cares has distributed Rs 14+ lakh to variuos organisation. We hope to increase this contributions through this edition of Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2016.

Shakti fund is a common pool of donations which will be distributed to the CSOs from different categories (small, medium, large) who show the most proactive engagement with their supporters and friends. The aim of this concept is to encourage individuals, CSOs and companies to get more involved and most importantly build a better network of support.
