Work and Achievements
United Way of Delhi was established on 26, September 2008 and is a member organization of world’s single largest private charity-United Way Worldwide. The United Way of Delhi volunteer board has representation of senior executives from Amway, Cargill, Corporate Flyers, E&Y, KPMG, Navatar Group and United Technologies Corporation.
The Parent charity United Way World Wide was founded in 1885 at Denver, USA. Today it is the leadership and support organization for the network of nearly 1,800 community-based United Ways including United Way of Delhi in 43 countries and territories. United Way advances the common good through a global network of local chapters by focusing on improving education, helping people achieve financial stability, and promoting healthy lives, and by mobilizing millions of people to give, advocate, and volunteer to improve the conditions in which they live. The global organization is active the world over, from Canada to Costa Rica and South Korea to Kenya.
United Way Delhi’s Key Focus Areas
United Way of Delhi has chosen to focus on the building blocks for a good life: Education, Health and Income. The organization since its inception in 2008 has impacted lives of more than 200,000 underserved individuals in a positive way through its comprehensive community development programs that also encourage volunteer engagement at all levels.
Fund Utilisation Statement
The funds from ADHM’16 would be utilized to support United Way Delhi’s innovative initiatives in the areas of Education, Health, Livelihood for advancing ‘Common Good’ of local communities.
