World Vision India
A grassroots development organisation impacting the lives of 26 lakh vulnerable children across India.
Work and Achievements
World Vision is one of the world’s leading child-focused humanitarian organisations. Through development, relief and advocacy, we pursue fullness of life for every child by serving the poor and oppressed regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people. With nearly 65 years of experience in India, World Vision works in 191 districts impacting 26 lakh children and their families in over 6200 communities spread across 26 states of India.
We work along with children, families and communities to address issues of Health, Nutrition, WASH, education, child protection, climate change, gender, disability and humanitarian emergencies in partnership with governments, civil society, donors and corporates.
Through our Area Development Programs (ADPs) that span for a minimum of 15 years in a particular community, World Vision India builds the capacity and ability of communities and families to ensure that all children in the community have access to education, health, protection and participate in all the decisions that concern them.
Special issue-based projects addressing child vulnerabilities like malnutrition, HIV and AIDS, child labour and street children provide care, protection and advocacy for swift implementation of laws and policies pertaining to overall child development.
