Provides residential, medical care, therapy for people with disabilities from slums in South Delhi. Day Care with basic pre-school education for children with disabilities.
Work and Achievements
a) We provide residential care and services including medical/ nursing/Physiotherapy to 79 physically and mentally challenged persons with permanent disabilities and with no means of support.
b) We are running day care learning centre for70 differently abled children from the age group of 6-18 years. These children belong to families living in Below Poverty Line. Aim is to educate these children and so as to prepare them for mainstream schools. We have been able to place 17 such children this year.
c) The Day Care Centre or Occupational Therapy is to keep residents and non–residents purposefully occupied and give them a sense of self-fulfillment. Those capable of imbibing the training in tailoring, paper bag making, candle making, gauze folding, diya painting and production of greeting cards are provided this therapy.
d) Followings additional services being provided to children and adults with disabilities:
1- Entitlements - Facilitation of Disability Certificates, Govt. Health Insurance Scheme, Travel concession by road and rail.
2- Identification, training, placement of Disabled Persons in Delhi/NCR
Fund Utilisation Statement
To run the residential facility with modern systems and learning devices. The funds will also be used to set up a Counseling Centre to help disabled persons from economically weaker sections of Delhi.
