Fight Hunger Foundation
We take decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger and malnutrition in children.
Work and Achievements
Fight Hunger Foundation has a very simple end goal. No more child hunger in India. Our strategy for fighting malnutrition is based around three pillars: Advocacy, Field based actions and Research. Fight Hunger Foundation is dedicated to the detection, treatment and prevention of malnutrition in urban and rural areas in three areas of India: Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Our approach is to identify and correctly diagnose the most affected children, and treat them using therapeutic food and micro nutrients.
Since our inception we have saved the lives of 2363 children suffering from malnutrition, reached out to over 15000 pregnant mothers for education on nutrition and child care practices.
We have participated in and strengthened almost 19 Government schemes in the areas where we work.We worked with the Government of Rajasthan in 2016 to reach out to close to 12000 malnourished children across the state of Rajasthan as their technical partners for the implementation of POSHAN, a flagship malnutrition treatment program covering 13 districts. The Government of Rajasthan has partnered with Fight Hunger Foundation again for the second phase of the project to reach out to 25,000 children suffering from malnutrition in 20 districts of Rajasthan in 2017.
Fight Hunger Foundation has been awarded Platinum certification by Guidestar, an independent assessment agency, for transparency and public accountability.
