When children are born, they are dependent on us for their needs. Children with special and autistic needs are not weird or odd. They are unique and interpret the world differently from our expectations. They simply need our love, encouragement and inclusion without feeling judged.
To be differently able and that too from low income families is heart-rendering. Whenever I come across the disabled, I reflect upon the difficulties that they and their families go through. It pains me to see them being made to feel dependent and helpless for no fault of theirs. Even the greatest joys sometimes bring challenge, and children with special needs inspire a ‘very special love’.
Over the last few years, I have been running at the “Airtel Delhi Half Marathon” and seeking your support for the abandoned elders or the visually impaired. Humbly, I thank you for empowering such lives that need your help.
I am now reaching out to you for sharing your kindness and helping in the welfare and empowerment of the underprivileged with ‘special needs or differently able’. Your contributions will go a long way in developing their social skills and transitioning them towards independence.
If you believe in my belief, then please support by donating towards my run.
