Almost a year ago, I was unhappy with my professional Life; my productivity was not the best and my expectations were hitting dead ends. Just to ease the tension, I thought to go for a run; I was out of sports for years, and to my despair I failed to even jog for 1 km. Years of indiscipline and carelessness had led to this, and by the time I realized this I’d gained 22 KGs, weighing 88 KGs. Harsha Bhogle once rightly pointed this at IIMC - “If you can’t take care of your health, how you’d take care of your company?” Being healthy, fit and able to play a sport not just stave off distractions from unnecessary health concerns but it also teaches D-most important attributes of life: Discipline, Decisiveness, Determination and Dedication. Having lost 18 KGs already, I can vouch that it would have deeper implications for you then numbers on weighing scale. KKMF is one such organization that is doing commendable job in this aspect, not just it is helping underprivileged children to play sports that have been out of their reach hitherto, but also it is helping them to develop as better individuals with the bigger lessons sports teaches us; it’ll not just affect their ability to play sports but will also impact what they make out of their life and how they deal with defeats. With our small contribution, what currently impacts a thousand kids of Delhi can touch the life of Lakhs across other regions and thus impact an entire generation of our country, enabling them knock out their adversities.
