India Cares Foundation
To enhance the quality of services, income, and accountability of NGOs – through collaborating with individuals and organisations.
Work and Achievements
India Cares envisages a vibrant civil society sector strengthened by an NGO community responding to the challenges of inequality and injustice facing Indian society. To achieve this strength, India Cares will help the NGO community build wide-scale public support and become increasingly accountable to ‘society’.
Information gathering and sharing: This implies gathering data on NGOs; making information available on our website; and through a Directory
Improving NGO services: through skill-building workshops and the sharing of expertise between NGOs and others who are willing to share
Increasing NGO income: through events like the TCS World 10K; Airtel Delhi Half Marathon and events during Daan Utsav
Ensuring accountability: by promoting the standards of the Credibility Alliance – a national NGO, which has established Norms for public disclosure and good governance for NGOs and working closely with FMSF - Financial Management Services Foundation to help NGOs in the areas of financial management, legal regulations & governance.
Our Board members contribute personal funds for our work, but our plans now need much more money. We need your help to widen our services to support the NGOs.
