We will provide supplementary education for 15,000 under-privileged children in shelter homes and children of low income communities by trained youth volunteers in 13 cities across India. With the scale and geographies at which Bhumi operates, we can customise projects for particular parts of the country that require smaller investments. The personal growth through the programme is evident in both volunteers and children – our volunteers gain perspective and the experience to mould themselves into leaders in their communities and in academics, life skills help them create a better future. This project will help in helps in maintaining an interest in education in children, improve innovative and analytical thinking and inculcate long term goal & vision setting. During the three years we wish to ensure different ways of employee engagement. We will submit reports on the progress of the project on pre determined timelines.
Bhumi is one of India’s largest independent and youth volunteer non-profit organisations. Bhumi was founded in 2006. We provide a holistic approach to support children from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The primary problems being addressed by Bhumi's programmes are academic achievement and life skills. All children receive personal attention from caring adults and volunteers, explore new interests, receive academic support, develop a sense of belonging to a group, take on leadership roles and build a sense of self-esteem - reflected in better exam scores and classroom behaviours at school. We have so far impacted almost 50,000 children
