Helpline Chritable Trust- Project Vishwas
Empowering destitute children thru education & values by providing a good ecosystem and mentor support. We provide housing, food, clothing, medical facilities, and extra-curricular activities/talents.
Work and Achievements
Started in 1999 by Vyjayanthi Raman & V Krishnan, with two children from government remand home.Currently there are 40 children of age group from 4 -18 being supported. Focus has been on supporting the female children as they are more vulnerable. Out of the 40 there are about 14 boys many of them have their sibling sisters in the organization. Our objective also is not to separate siblings, to develop the bond between them.
The children are given a home to live with all facilities, incl medical, food, and education. We consciously build a sense of self-esteem in the children. Towards achieving this Children are sent to normal schools. We do not accept used clothes but encourage donors to give funds even if it is to buy inexpensive dresses.
A homely atmosphere is maintained with each child getting personal attention enabling them to feel more confident about their security and prospects.
We focus on inculcating good values to let them develop into great human beings with open mind & keen awareness about everything around. Towards this we have hand- picked tutors for additional coaching and volunteers for activities like sports, dance, robotics, drawing/painting etc. thus allowing the children to achieve their full potential.
Once the children finish schooling, we support their higher education which may be graduation in any discipline, or skill based courses. We support them till they settle down in their career. Eight of the girl children have also settled down with their life partners!
We remain fully committed to our objective of providing a level playing field for underprivileged children to realize their full potential and become a good human and a proud Indian.
