Meghshala is a nonprofit that aims to solve the problem of education inequity by empowering teachers. We also mentor and train teachers to support them to use technology better and improve their skills.
Work and Achievements
We currently work with over 100 government schools and 300+ teachers in both urban and rural areas. One of our measures of success are the stories we hear from teachers and students.
Student sangeeta says-”Before Meghshala lessons, I would only read information from the textbook and what my teacher told me, but now I get to listen, see, read and understand. I hardly forget what I see”.
A Principal from a government school on the outskirts of Bangalore says “After Meghshala lessons, the kids are more participative in class. They ask and answer questions and voice their opinion” He goes on to say, that teachers enjoy using technology in class as well, as it makes their classes more interesting.”
Fund Utilisation Statement
We would like to take this ideal mix of technology and quality education to remote schools. There are kids across rural India waiting for a chance at quality education. In the coming year we want to reach 20 remote schools across Karnataka.
