Work and Achievements

Halasuru Traverses: A pilot project to explore the possibilities of STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) initiatives in schools.

Halasuru Traverses was an arts education project with the local community children of Halasuru to explore the artistry and history of their neighbourhood where children were trained in a hands-on immersive experience to design, contemplate and make characters of present times as puppeteers touched by the wonders of 'digital fabrication'. Children went through an artistic process from beginning to end - from storytelling, story ritual, character building, music, simple lighting and final staging where they unfolded the magical crossovers of a 'traditional folk form' with 'cutting edge technology'.

Maker Faire Bengaluru (Roadshows and Main Event): A grassroots initiative to foster the spirit of ‘making’ by curating and creating a platform for hidden makers across Karnataka and major cities across India. Intent was to ensure effective promotions of the Maker Faire Bengaluru to reach a large and appropriate participation of makers, tinkerers, innovators, entrepreneurs from the length and breadth of Karnataka. Maker Faire Bengaluru was the Bengaluru chapter of the internationally featured Maker Faire licensed from the US. It was also India’s 1st ever featured Maker Faire. Yuva Chintana Foundation (YCF) partnered with Workbench Projects, a makerspace/Fablab to curate with the support of Department of IT/BT, GoK under their flagship event - Bengaluru Tech Summit.
