Cubbon Park’s luscious greenery and canopy of trees provide the perfect boost for the runners of the TCS World 10K on race day and the joy that the Bengaluru running community would feel to know that their pounding the streets has provided a sustainable solution for the city and a case study for the country would be immense.
I believe that supporting the Cubbon Park Rejuvenation Project, is an essential effort that needs to be taken more seriously as urban water levels and supplies deteriorate drastically. I promise to donate INR 10,000 for the cause for every minute that I can run the TCS World 10K under 55 minutes.
More importantly, if these simple solutions like rain water harvesting and reviving of traditional Wells can help prove water security for our country, it will save the need to dig so many 800 -1000 feet Borewells which do not even yield water and become a threat to lives as they are left uncovered.
Join me in this journey to make sure that there as long as there are rains in Bengaluru, Cubbon Park has water security for the 7000+ trees and shrubs.
