We, José, Tany and Nelson are BA 2nd & 3rd year students from Christ University who are very hyper active and passionate about whatever we are into, be it football for Jose and Nelson or choreography for Tany. And the commonalities in us is that we are all interested in sports and athletics.
We are a team who would always like to contribute and become a part of an NGO or a charity trust. We finally got to know about CherYsh Trust and about the TCS 10K RUN. Without thinking any further, we just hopped in and have pledged to run and raise funds towards providing a mid-day nutritious snack, peanut ‘laddoo’ to over a thousand children at CherYsh Shikshas - After School Learning Centres, every day. This laddoo, prepared by the women of CherYsh Community Kitchens, mothers of some Shiksha children, costs only Rs. 1.28 per laddoo but is a power-packed snack, their only one between their mid-day meal and dinner.
Funds required to provide this nutritious snack - INR 4,20,000 for one academic year.
We are very happy to raise funds towards this cause and we feel that if we can help and support rural children or the poor and needy, that’s more than happiness to us. We cannot help and support all poor lives in India, but if we can be a reason in changing the lives of a few, one of the purposes of our lives will be fulfilled.
Please help us to raise funds for this cause.
