Srujna Charitable Trust
Srujna is transforming women in poverty into confident, independent and contributing.
Work and Achievements
Srujna started in 2011 as a project to provide livelihood support to rescued victims of human trafficking and the pilot project was a learning experience. Till date, Srujna has impacted the lives of over 6000 underprivileged women across India.
Upon further research it was found that many vocational and skill training programs exist but very few focus on post-training work orders and business development.
We believe that women empower not only themselves but create a ripple of change and transformation for their families and communities around them. Their focus is women from marginalized communities who need support to make a living.
Depending on the level of skill sets with the women, the livelihood support is provided. The livelihood programmes focus on capacity building, fostering community links and promoting small businesses.
