Our Mission

Our mission is to promote the rights and interests of the disadvantaged, particularly those with disabilities.

Work and Achievements

VISHWAS is committed to working towards promoting accessible, enabling and inclusive environments. We develop and promote inclusive models in education, skill development and community outreach in partnership with the government, Institutions, communities, corporate sector, parents and children.

VISHWAS is working for the age appropriate inclusion of children and adults with disabilities through its four programmes: VISHWAS Vidyalaya, VISHWAS Community Based Programme, VISHWAS Skill Development and Training Programme and VISHWAS Research and Training Programme.

VISHWAS Vidyalaya is a recognized inclusive elementary school with nearly 300 students, studying from Nursery to VIII. Most of our students are first generation learners, coming from migrant communities, marginalised by poverty and with little or no prior exposure to formal education. More than 17 percent of the students are children with developmental disabilities which include Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders and Multiple Disabilities.

Similarly, VISHWAS Skill Development works with young adults and adults with disabilities by developing their skill sets for life skills and livelihood opportunities to enable them for independent living.

VISHWAS Community Based Programme works with community for awareness and sensitisation towards Disability and Inclusive Development. Through this programme we are associated with more than 2000 children and adults with disabilities in different locations of Haryana.

VISHWAS Research and Training Programme aims to improve the quality of services related to Disability and Inclusive Development. Through this programme we are building capacities of professionals working in this sector. VISHWAS is also a recognised Disability Resource Centre, under which we address the needs of children and adults with disabilities from the neighboring community.

Fund Utilisation Statement

The funds will be utilized for the rehabilitation and education of children with disabilities particularly those studying at VISHWAS Vidyalaya under an Inclusive Education setup and for the Skill development programme for young adults and adults with disabilities.
