Work and Achievements
Fight Hunger Foundation has a very simple end goal. No more child hunger in India. We address the causes and effects of acute malnutrition in children under 5 years of age and educate communities, strengthen Government structures and setup and mobilizer policy based action on under nutrition.
Our strategy for fighting malnutrition is based around three pillars: Advocacy, Field based actions and Research. Fight Hunger Foundation is dedicated to the detection, treatment and prevention of malnutrition in urban and rural areas in three areas of India: Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Our approach is to identify and correctly diagnose the most affected children, and treat them using therapeutic food and micronutrients.
We have screened over 90,000 children for signs of acute malnutrition, treated and referred 16,000 malnourished children, worked with over 10,000 pregnant and lactating mothers, trained 13,000 Government frontline workers, conducted over 22,000 community information sessions in 650 villages in 5 districts.
Fund Utilisation Statement
The funds raised will be used for the treatment of children suffering from acute malnutrition across Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan in India.
