Our Mission

Swapnopuron is catering to children and women at Hingalganj with the mission to tap their unlimited potentiality and enable them to grow as individuals.

Work and Achievements

It was in 2012, when a group of likeminded people put their thought on contributing some of their time, resource and energy towards ensuring the Rights of the Children in the remote areas of North 24 Parganas. Rights includes Right to education , protection and others .The collective thought of this group led to the formation of Swapnopuron Welfare Society (SWS). The journey began from then with involvement of people from different sectors who still continue to support the cause of SWS with their time, effort and resources to the best possible ways.

Swapnopuron has been successful in creating a school going habit among children in the local area of Katakhali , a village with a population of 2100 household. In this village children would go to school only at the age of 10years and would often drop out soon . Swapnopuron Shishu Shiksha Niketan was the school first of its kind in that area which developed a holistic curriculum for children to enhance their interest and enable every child to identify their potentialities and grow in life.

Swapnopuron created the platform for children to participate in various activities and shape as a confident and bold individual with a self esteem. Children very recently participated in “Run for Freedom Fighters” marathon event and all 10 participants completed 3 kms run, which was a great achievement as this was their first participation.

Our curriculum has been set taking into consideration all the didactic principles and our most unique feature has been development of “Mathematics Circle”. A curriculum to enhance childrens aptitude for Mathematics. Our very recent approach to enhance a child mind has been introducing children to “Power brain Yoga” and one other meditation form.
