Work and Achievements
Concern India Foundation is a registered non-profit, public charitable trust working towards helping people help themselves by making the disadvantaged self-reliant and enabling them to lead a life of dignity.
Through our efforts in 2016-17 we extended financial and non financial support to over 363 NGOs supported in Maharashtra, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Rajasthan, UP, Chennai, Telangana. Various initiatives helped bring about a direct positive change in the lives of children, youth, women, the mentally and physically challenged and the aged. Our work has impacted in prevention of child labour, child marriages, permanent solutions for water, increase in quality of life, increase in income, sustainable use of renewable energy and increased employability among women and youth in the programmes we supported.
Over 1,34,261 marginalized people benefited directly through our offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune.
Our support to:
- Educational initiatives impacted 15,631 children and 21288 youth
- Grassroots level work in the area of health and hygiene improved the lives of 37245 people.
Community development activities has directly benefited81385 individuals through natural resource management, women’s empowerment, livelihood projects, organic farming, rainwater harvesting, self-help groups and shelter homes etc.
