TCS World 10K Bengaluru, since 2008, has helped 264 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs/ NGOs) raise over Rs 39 Crore for causes like Human Rights, Environment & Animal Welfare, Disability, Education, Girl Child, Women's Empowerment, Children, Health, etc..
The most encouraging aspect is the way individuals get engaged, both in fundraising and donating, almost 70,000 individuals have donated and 3365 have fundraises over the past 10 years making up of 77% of donations in total coming from individuals donating to their chosen causes.
In 2018, we have some amazing examples being set - We had the Maharaja of Mysuru, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar running the TCS World 10K for Kalisu Foundation raising Rs 24.35 lakh. We also had a group of 120 students of Delhi Public School-North raising Rs 30.49 lakh for Dystrophy Annihilation Research Trust [DART]! Both these organisations are wonderful examples of the platform helping reach out to the Society.
Kalisu Foundation, though bsed in Mysuru, has grown from supporting 300 children to 6,500 children through its fundraising efforts at the TCS World 10K. DART has participated for the first time and has got many people know about the work and the cause they are working towards apart from raising Rs 49.16 lakh
