Khel Khel Mein Foundation
Using sports as an intervention to facilitate holistic development of children in Delhi’s poorest communities.
Work and Achievements
Started by 6 Teach for India Alumni, KhelKhel Mein Foundation (KKMF) is a registered, charitable trust transforming the grassroots sports culture in low-income schools & communities. We work to facilitate holistic development through sport by empowering young people from vulnerable backgrounds to overcome adversity and flourish in a fast-changing world using life skill. Currently, KKMF works in Delhi engaging with public education system and communities directly. Our core programs include a Lab-program, a specialised sports program for kids in the poorest communities & schools of Delhi, KKM League, a competitive citywide sports league for students from underprivileged backgrounds, & Sports Mentor-ship Program, an opportunity for sports enthusiasts to engage with the grassroots communities by introducing sports activities and bringing in basic awareness about participatory sports in schools and communities.
Since 2013 we have engaged with over 10,000 children across Delhi. At KKMF, we work to create access to quality sports training programs for children regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds so that communities with a self-sustaining sports culture can thrive and each child is given an opportunity to Play. Perform. Prosper.
