TRRAIN is a public charitable trust formed in 2011 by Mr B.S. Nagesh, with the vision of empowering people in retail and works to achieve immediate and lasting change in the lives of retail associates in India.
Work and Achievements
In the last 5 years, TRRAIN has successfully conceptualized and implemented a few innovative and first of its kind events and programs for people working in the retail sector.
Retail Employees Day celebration on 12th December:
The event is to celebrate and bring the retail employee into focus and thank them for their untiring effort to deliver customer service and generate revenues for the business. To date more than 350 retailers and 70 shopping centers have participated in Retail Employees Day celebrations. 2 million retail employees in India and an additional 2 million in Turkey celebrate this joyous occasion.
TRRAIN Retail Awards for customer service excellence:
The award recognises and rewards customer service excellence in retail (both modern and traditional), at an all India level to create benchmarks for customer service excellence in retail in India. Over the past 5 years, 100 associates have been awarded pan India.
TRRAIN Aptech skilling program:
TRRAIN Foundation & Aptech have collaborated to offer special training courses tailor made for people working in the retail and Hospitality sector. The program has successfully trained 10000+ youth in retail.
The initiative aims to empower Persons with Disabilities (PWD) by providing training and employment opportunities in the retail industry. In the last 5 years we have created livelihood for more than 3000 persons with disability. We have placed Pankh trainees in various retail organizations like DMart, Hypercity, Costa Coffee, Max, Dominos and Reliance.
Fund Utilisation Statement
TRRAIN needs donors to support its initiative – PANKH, training and employment to People with Disabilities. Currently operational from 27 centers in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.
