We run a Charitable School in Rural Bangalore & Gaya – Bihar. We give free & Quality education to the students whose parents income below 7,000/- per month.
Work and Achievements
Vidyadaan School provides free education, nutritious food & uniform amongst other things to under privileged children in rural India.
The school educates children in English medium to make them self-reliant, enterprising & honest citizens with high moral values, through the gift of free quality education & skill development. The school has been operational for over 9 years & is educating over 400 children. Parents of children admitted to the school are un-educated, earn subsistence income & find it difficult to make ends meet.
Tetariya, a small village in Gaya houses over 100 families belonging to the Manjhi community, an extremely backward class. Members of the community traditionally rat catchers are currently employed in stone quarries, some families work as agricultural labourers for 6 months in an year & children are rag pickers earning 30- 40 per day. Most children are malnourished due to extreme poverty, hunger, afflicted by infectious diseases without access to affordable healthcare. Vidyadaan has started a school to provide mid day meal & free education to children of this village. Vidyadaan plays a small part in removing the malaise of illiteracy and provides students an opportunity to break out of the cycle of poverty.
The school with current levels of funding will be short of funds to the tune of INR 14,00,000, this financial year. The school's trust Svatantra an NGO expects to raise this amount from the campaign. All patrons are requested support Gaya school operations this year for eliminating hunger & illiteracy from Tetariya village.
