Work and Achievements
ETASHA Society is an outcome-driven, not-for-profit organization passionately working towards skilling underprivileged communities for sustained employment, income generation and dignity. ETASHA envisions a future where every Indian is self-reliant, has a sense of self- worth and leads a dignified and productive life.
ETASHA’s core activities are aimed at engaging various stakeholders to holistically impact communities by orienting them to value and respect skills. These activities are:
- Vocational training and placement
- Career Guidance
- Life skills development
- Employability skills training
- Training of Employability Skills Trainers
- Development of Women Entrepreneurs
Established as a not-for-profit society in January 2006, ETASHA has FCRA approval till 2021. The organization was validated by CAF in 2009, Credibility Alliance in 2011 (currently at “desirable level”) and Guide Star with Platinum Certification in 2018. We have also been Tier 1 partners with Give India since 2010. One of our programmes Women’s Entrepreneurship Programme was awarded the “Most Promising Programme” by Cause Because.
Currently, we run three Career Development Centers in Delhi in Madanpur Khadar, Khanpur and Mangolpuri which are large slum and slum resettlement clusters in Delhi, and one Skill Development Centre in Janauli, a village in Palwal District, Haryana. We also operate in three NGO partner locations in the NCR region. We have executed projects in Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Haryana.
Trainees completing vocational programmes and keen on employment have been placed in companies of the organised sector within six to eight weeks of completion of the program at salaries ranging from Rs. 7,000 – Rs. 15,000 per month.
