Goal
Our project aims to provide intensive therapy sessions for 60 intellectual disabilities children who we have identified from poor backgrounds with uneducated parents. The children will be assessed by a child neurologist and therapists for clear identification and plan targeted therapy and also get them into open basic education from the NIOS curriculum. This would enable the understanding and application of learning principles and advance their education and formal certification.
Subhiksha Special School will provide the necessary space for the therapists and children for this project. The main cost comes from the therapy sessions which have been tailored according to the children’s needs. We need Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist, Physical Education Teachers and Special Educators for the intellectually disabled children.
We also need to arrange transport and food for them. As a non-profit Special School committed to recognizing talent and skills among the special needs children, we place the greatest emphasis on personalised instruction. Coupled with great levels of attention, care, and support in a safe and secure environment. Our children not just thrive but blossom.
The confidence that we help them gain contributes to making them feel independent to live a full life in college and in their workplace. We strive to identify such gems and facilitate their learning so that they can make a positive difference in our world.
