Ayyapan, a 49 yr family man from Wayanad, Vaduvanchal, an estate worker.

From many years, Ayyapan is waiting to finish his house. Currently with his family, he staying in a temporary structure. Ayyapan wants to build one 475 sq feet house at an approximate cost is Rs 8 lakhs. Construction costs in this hilly terrain is a little higher from usual. 

Ayyapans wife is suffering from arthritis and is bed ridden. He spends around Rs.14,000 every month for her treatment as she has to be taken twice in a month to calicut for treatment.

Ayyapan is a village head of his tribe. There are around 17 families living around his village and he managed to help them get the government subsidies and assistance for them but unfortunately for his turn the pandemic started and he really had to struggle to get his paper work cleared.

He is running around from one end to the other but its difficult now and its kind of interior place. Even though lot of officials do come and visit place and they assure him help, but its been a long wait.
